Lucy is a 5-year-old, female spayed Labrador Retriever. When she first was bought to our owner, Autumn, she was what they called a “Dumpster Puppy” with her 9 brothers and sisters at only a few days old. Lucy and her siblings were thrown out in a box next to a dumpster in Muscogee County, in Columbus Georgia. 

A GREAT citizen found the puppies and bought the puppies all the way to Atlanta to a friend of Autumn’s to be taken care of. Autumn and her friends were able to nurse the puppies and get them adopted out except 2, which was Lucy and her sister. 

Autumn and her husband decided that they had to add another family member along with their 4 other fur babies at the time which is how Lucy came about. Lucy was named by Autumn’s 3 children by a fur baby Autumn used to pet sit that had one eye and was a black Labrador Retriever named “Lucy”. Lucy has been a great family dog ever since. When we have our fur babies come for an overnight stay Lucy is very patient with each fur baby. She knows to lay down and allow each fur baby warm up to her and when they do their time of fun begins!
